In-House Foundry, In-House Accountability

Quality is not a checklist at the receiving dock — it is the temperature of the melt and the chatter mark on a turned seat. Every RSC valve is poured, machined, assembled, and tested on a single 280,000 sq ft campus southeast of Houston. No subcontracted castings. No transfer-of-custody between vendors.

Foundry & Metallurgy

In-house spectral analysis verifies every heat. Carbon steel, low-temp carbon, stainless (304/316/321/347), duplex, super-duplex, and alloy grades (B7, B8, B16, Monel, Inconel) are poured under our own pour cards. Full traceability from bar stock to shipped valve is filed against the serial number, not the work order.

  • Spectro analysis on every heat
  • MPI & DPI NDE on critical surfaces
  • Charpy impact testing at -196°C

CNC Machining & Assembly

Five-axis CNC machining centers hold seat pockets to ±0.0005". Assembly is performed by tenured fitters — average tenure nine years — on jigs calibrated weekly. Every threaded body joint is torque-stamped with the operator badge and recorded in the unit's QA traveler.

  • ±0.0005" seat geometry tolerance
  • Operator-stamped torque records
  • Clean-room packing assembly for fugitive-emission builds

API-Spec Testing on Every Unit

Hydrostatic shell and seat tests per API 598 / API 6D, pneumatic low-pressure seat tests, and fire-safe burn tests on X-Series production lots are not sampled — they are performed on every valve. Test certificates, material certificates, and dimensional reports ship inside every crate.

  • Hydrostatic & pneumatic test per API 598
  • API 607 burn test on X-Series lots
  • EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 certificates shipped with unit
